      I.        Job profile

The work of CAFOD in Africa aims at programmes with partner organizations into both Western Africa and the great Lakes regions in order to struggle against poverty, injustice and rebuild a strong and a dynamic society.

    II.        Role

The Programme manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation management, budget control, monitoring & evaluation, staff recruitment & supervision, donor & partner coordination of CAFOD’s programmes in Eastern DRC. He/she will provide technical insight during the course of the programmes and subsequently propose adjustments for cost-efficiency and sustainability.
 

   III.        Profile

The Programme Manager will work under the supervision of CAFOD country representative and will lead a team of 4 Programme Officers.

  IV.        Qualification/experience

 

-        Be of Congolese nationality ;

-        High experience in Programme management (design, implementation and evaluation) ;

-        Demonstrate consideration for the role Gender plays in aspects of projects ;

-        Have a strong commitment to and experience of capacity building support work with local organizations ;

-        Strong capacity in finance management, budget management including donors’ multiple funds requirements ;

-        Excellent sense of judgment in solving problems and decision making ;

-        Strong capacity for team management ;

-        Ability to speak and read both English and French ;

-        The mastery of local languages is also of great importance.
