      I.        Role Purpose

-         To develop and maintain a cost-effective, world-class Corporate Security function with the Vodacom local market ;

-         To identify, measure and manage all aspects of malicious threat - whether internal or external ;

-         To minimise loss through the pro-active identification and implementation of appropriate controls, timely response and countermeasures ;

-         To coordinate and monitor Group functions.

    II.        Essence of Role - Key Accountabilities

 

1.    Support business goals and objectives

Provide a cost-effective framework for all parts of the Vodacom local market to manage their security threats and risks, including threats to the Vodacom Brand, Reputation etc.

 

2.    Implement Group Best Practice and develop CS Strategy & Policies

Responsible for the implementation of the Vodacom local GSM market;s Corporate Security strategy in line with Vodacom Group Risk Management and Corporate Security guidelines on policy, standards and best practice.

 

3.    Threat Management

-         Pro-actively identify mitigation measures and manage malicious threats;

-         Minimise loss through :

.          The pro-active identification of controls ;

.          Timely response ;

.          Countermeasures.

-         Deliver security awareness programmes ;

-         Deliver security reviews of new Products & Services.

 

4.    Crime Monitoring & Analysis and Security - Incident Management

-         Responsible for crime (including fraud) monitoring, intelligence management, analysis and reporting, including monitoring of employee communications and any internal systems and processes ;

-         Responsible for the provision of 24x7 incident management.

 

5.    Investigation and Due Diligence

-         Responsible for investigations (internal and external) to prosecution and/or disciplinary standard ;

-         Responsible for due diligence on prospective Acquisitions, Partners and Suppliers, and as requested by local senior management.

 

6.    Business Continuity Management

-         Coordinate and monitor the BCM functions within the Vodacom local GSM market ;

-         Providing feedback and reports to Vodacom Group BCM.

 

7.    Information Risk Management (IRM)

-         Coordinate and monitor IRM functions within the Vodacom local GSM market ;

-         Providing feedback and reports to Vodacom Group ERM.

  IV.        Qualifications end Experience

A good degree in Economics or Accounting

At least 7 years experience in relevant domain in any related industry
Some experience in internal control function or audit will be an added advantage.
