Consultancy Mid-Term evaluation Rise Program, North-Kivu Deadline : December 9th, 2013
I. Context
Mercy Corps is implementing the "Ressources to Increase Food Security in Eastern DRC" (RISE) program funded by USAID/Office for Peace Office. The Rise program strategy in based on the principles of developmental relief and aims to strengthen the foundations for food security through three strategic objectives (SOs) : 1. Increasing and diversifying production and profit of smallholder farming households with a specific focus on supporting local market growth ; 2. Improving household nutritional status with a focus on pregnant and lactating women and children under five ; 3. Strengthening local governance through the active participation of communities, civil society and local authorities to reduce vulnerability to household food security shocks.
Mercy Corps is seeking and experienced a consultant to conduct a Mid-Term Evaluation of the program. Democratic Rebublic of the Congo ("RISE") Donor : USAID - Food For Peace (Title II Multi-Year Assistance Program) Location : Bwisha and Bwito in Rutshuru territory and some locations in Nyiragongo territory Mandatory period for conducting the evaluation : January 2014 Report shall be written in English, all field work will be conducted in French and Kiswahili. Tender documents can be obtained from November 13rd, 2013 - December 6th, 2013 between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm Financial and technical proposals shall be submitted by email by December 9th, 2013 at 4:00pm Goma time.
